This makes me kinda sad–I think we have to use the organist at the chapel we’re getting married at.  But some of these songs are awesome!

I’m still playing around but these are some options I have.

seating of parents/grandparents: Find Love by Clem Snide

wedding party: either Ben Kweller’s version of God Only Know Regina Specktor’s Real Love, depending on what I use for bridal entrance

bridal entrance: Either Real Love or Northern Sky by Nick Drake

recessional: Such Great Heights by Postal Service or Flowers in the Window by Travis

Thanks for posting this, I’ve had such trouble coming up with especially ceremony music!

  • First dance – I’ll be your lover, too by Van Morrison
  • Father/Daughter dance – Always on my mind, by Willie Nelson
  • Anniversary dance (to give away the bridal bouquet): ??????
  • Scratch ticket bouquet toss – Luck be a lady, by Frank Sinatra
  • Cake cutting – I Can’t Help Myself (Sugar Pie, Honey Bunch), by The Four Tops
  • Couple’s last dance (before our exit) – The Best is Yet to Come, by Tony Bennett and Diana Krall

The following songs are on the must play list (which will be significantly longer, eventually):

  • Fever, by Ray Charles and Natalie Cole
  • Some Surprise, by the Cake Sale (Gary Lightbody and Lisa Hannigan) (this was my pick for the first dance, but Fiance said it was too girly…. what?!)

We are leaving most of it up to our great dj.

While people are arriving: classic hymns, including some sung by Johnny Cash, which will transition to the more formal of christmas music, possibly instrument

At some point, my aunt will sing Ave Maria, possibly the processional

I’ll walk to some variation of here comes the bride. I’d like to ask my brother (who’s a gm) to play it on his guitar, but Fiance doesn’t want to ask too much of anyone.

And that is all I know. Not that I’m worried or anything!
