I am starting to stress out because we are at the 5 month mark to the wedding and I feel like I have so much left to pull off this wedding. I feel like I am drawing a blank on what are some must have items for the vintage themed wedding. We have old hankies as our favors and they will also be under our centerpieces. Our centerpieces are going to be crystal bowls that I will post a pic of (not with the paper flowers pictured). What else do I need? This is my venue.
I have two wreathes that will hang from the two lower doors on the side.

Here are the pics of the centerpieces. They will be a ball of fresh carnations (hopefully peach).

here’s a link to previous posts about vintage weddings. Maybe some of those ideas will work for you.

When I think of vintage I think of mason jars…

Birdcage veil!! If you don’t already have a different one. Roses for flowers….(avante guard, amneisa, ocean song, all very vintage looking flowers)

I’m doing a take on the vintage theme with typewriter key accents, mason jars filled with buttons and pearls, ivory roses, brooches galore, bridesmaids draped in pearls, wine bottle candles, lanterns, feathers, etc. Hopefully that sparks some ideas!

@Nola: shut the f up?! Is that the Benachi house?! OMG why was that like one of the places I wanted to get married?! When I think vintage I think of the following things:
- rich colors or all whites
- wooden signs that point the way towards the wedding
- old pictures.. Like a bee recently did a post of their vintage picture board thingie with the old pictures and the new people’s faces in it.. I thought that was fantastic!

@crebre80 LOL yes that is the Benachi House. Where are you getting married?

Because of my dad’s cancer I am getting married in Tennessee… But if you look in the Louisiana board here you will see all about my love affair with the Benachi House……

I am also doing a vintage theme at our wedding in Aug. Things that I’ve purchased are:
Wire corset and hat stand found at wildrosecottage.com
Antique looking silver plates and vases, candelabras, vintage luggage and hat boxes, and a few chandeliers found at yard sales. I’ve used crackle spraypaint to refinish some of these items to make them look vintage.
I love what it’s becoming and can’t wait to put it all together! Good luck and hope this helped. 🙂
