Go to Matt’s in the Market in Seattle for great food! Also, try brunch at Cyclops or Macrina Bakery for a true Seattle experience.  Dinner at Le Pichet or Flying Fish restaurant (all in Belltown). (Can you tell I like to eat when we go back to Seattle???) Such a great choice for a honeymoon- Seattle is one of the best cities in America!

Don’t forget to get your pictures taken with some of the pretty pigs in town (ala Mrs. Strawberrry).

If the Magnolia doesn’t work for you, you should check out Abgails. It’s a B and B and all the brides in my family stay there at least one night on their honeymooon. My Fiance are going to central america, so maybe you could carry on the tradition for me!

This is the same honeymoon I will be taking in september! I am so glad you all posted such good recommendations! I have been getting funny looks because I tell people we are going to seattle, not some tropical location… but I think it is going to be so fun and looks so beautiful! I cant wait!

hehe…..I love that you are coming to the NW! I work for the tourism department over here in the Seattle area…so if you want me to send you some information about Seattle, Vancouver, Victoria just let me know. You can email me at karla (at) seattlesouthside.com with your address and I can send you some brochures, coupons for places like the space needle, aquarium, etc, a vacation planner, and definitely some maps….I would love to highlight some of my favorite places for you!

Depending on the time of the year that you will be there you may want to consider taking the ferry over to Vancouver island. If you are lucky you will get to see the Orca’s. In Victoria I would recommend you to visit Butchart Gardens.

In Seattle you may want to do a Food Tour (check out http://www.savorseattletours.com) and especially do not miss out on Alki Beach. It’s very romantic at night time. This is the spot where they filmed a scene from the movie ‘Sleepless in Seattle’. It’s worth a visit!

You may also want to visit Greenlake and Lake Washington and take a stroll there. For a cozy romantic BB in Seattle try

I love the NW and Canada. Have a happy time

I love Victoria, the ferry ride and all. Best to go during the Spring or Fall.

For the hands-down most amazing sushi you will eat this side of Japan, go to Tojo’s in Vancouver. It’s definitely a memorable experience.

I second the Vancouver Aquaruium.. there was a baby beluga born here last week!

For romance you can’t beat Stanley Park… unless it’s doing a seaplane ride. Vancouver by air is TOTALLY romantic.

You’re going to have so much fun!

In Victoria, check out Darcy’s Pub at 1127 Wharf Street. Right across from the water, nice staff and great local cover artists every night! When I was there, we went every night!
