Im helping a friend put together her wedding invites and we realized she had no printed directions. She has directions on her wedding website, and all the guest have to go to the site to RSVP, but should she also include a printed copy? She is trying to keep costs low, plus the invites need to go out this week. What do you guys think?

I put the directions on the invitations but honestly, I think if the address is there you’ll be fine. People will look it up themselves or use a GPS. Nobody used our directions and actually asked us how to get to there the day before the wedding.

Noooooooo you don’t have to! The only thing that HAS to be in the invitation is the invitation. 😀
We put ours on the website and no one has any trouble at all, even out of towners.

We didn’t even put printed directions on our site. We put the address of ceremony, reception, and hotel sites and we’re just assuming everyone can handle punching the addresses into a gps, smart phone, google maps, etc. For the older guets who aren’t familiar with these forms of technology, we’re making sure some of the younger relatives get them to where they need to be.

We’re not putting the directions in the invites. The directions are listed on our website and if they still aren’t clear enough, there’s always GPS.

We put directions on our wedding website (which was on our info card in our invitation) and we also included a directions card in our Out of Town bags – everyone was checking into the hotel before coming to our wedding so we knew this would be the best way (our venue’s address does not come up on a GPS!)
