I’m not a frequent poster but the bee has helped me a lot with inspiration while planning my wedding so I thought I would share a few pictures of our amazing day!!
We decided to have our wedding at our home, an outside ceremony and a rented tent and had 180 guests coming. We had a gorgeous day (very hot and humid but better than the snow we had the week before and the cold rain the week after!!) and the rain held out until after supper! Our photographer was amazing!! She had all of our pictures done within a week!! Our friends and family helped us so much to bring everything together! We couldn’t have done it without them 🙂
Around 10 pm, we tried to do a sparkler shot but it just started to really pour and the wind picked up. As you can see in the pictures, we had rented a huge tent. Well, that wind almost blew the tent away! I ran into the tent and could see all of our guests hanging onto the sides of the tent so it wouldn’t blow away! I’m telling you guys, I thought our wedding was done. I tried to help out, holding onto my share of the tent but finally got dragged away. We had about 100 people in our house while the remaining 60-70 guests stayed in the tent trying to keep it down. Finally, the wind died down and the party started again and we danced until 3 am 🙂 My guests were awesome for pulling together and holding down the tent and then just laughing about it! I was just so thankful no one got hurt because it could have just gone up like a huge parachute!
It was the most special day of our lives and as I’ve read before in recaps, you could feel the love and happiness of the day. Anyways, enough of my ramblings and onto pictures!! 🙂 Enjoy! (All pictures by Jessica Goodsell Photography)

- Wedding: June 2013 - Country Club
I always forget that in other counties it goes day-month-year instead of month-day-year. Haha! I thought you got married in January and then I saw the outdoors pictures and I had to recheck the date! Date twin. 😉
