It’s photos like these that make me wonder when people say moissanite is SO different. To me it just isn’t.

I saw a moissanite the other day in real life for the first time, and I am sure many people could easily mistake it for a diamond.

@MrsJenBee:  Which is the Moissy? They one at the bottom? I would have thought that they were both diamonds!

Awesome picture. They do look the same in this shot. Its interesting how some say they can spot the difference right off the bat, others say it looks like a low quality diamond/high quality diamond.
The many faces of moissanite! 🙂

Wow.  I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference!  Knowing that one is Moissy and one is diamond, I can see a subtle difference in sparkle, but I’d NEVER see a difference on my own!  Gorgeous!

@MrsJenBee:  Wow I can’t believe how similar they look! They’re both beautiful stones! Will you be setting them both or are you just trying to decide which one you love the most?

Beautiful! I have a 1 carat enhanced moissanite and mom has a similar size diamond, you cannot tell the difference there either.

I own a moissanite and I definitely think they are both beautiful. If I were to just pass by I would never in a million years be able to tell the difference. In this picture I can. The moissy definitely seems more flat than the diamond. However they both make for beautiful engagement rings. Absolutely thanks for sharing.
