- Wedding: July 2011
Hi everyone! We got married on 7/9/11, and I decided to go with a 1940’s style for my look. We got married at his brother’s house, outside, and had a reception filled with family and friends, homemade mead and lots of drinking 🙂 It was great! Hope you enjoy the pictures
I haven’t received all the pictures yet, but I’m looking forward to the rest, and couldn’t wait to recap any longer!
I tried to write about each picture after each picture, but it didn’t work, so I’ll try to explain things a bit down here 🙂
-The bottles of mead were for our champagne toasts, because my hubbs had proposed to me using a bottle of mead from the same batch we drank from the night we met 🙂
-The pieces of paper on the bottles were the favors, which were attached to a key. On each key was a different love quote, attached to skeleton keys, because my name means “keeper of the keys” and my husband’s name is “Mikey” (my-key, get it? :P)
-He has “I love you to the moon and back” engraved on the inside of his ring, because that’s what I say to him, and I have “I love you to the sun and back”, because that’s what he says to me 🙂
-My engagement ring was actually DH’s mother’s engagement ring, and she passed away four years ago.
-The key on my bouquet was his mother’s, my “something borrowed”, and my shoes were my “something blue”
-We had a sweetheart table, with our wedding party seated behind us and to the sides
(I’ll be posting more pictures, I just wanted to break it up a little bit! The ceremony and reception will be the next post!)
