@leenh78:  I totally fell ya….I just turned 35 on 7/22 and it has hit me like a TON of bricks! I guess mostly b/c we don’t have any kids and I am really getting pressured from both sides to have one soon…..this birthday has really had me down in the dumps for sure! Everyone says age is just a # and I know it is but something about 35 has really caused me to feel a bit depressed. You aren’t alone!

@leenh78:  My rough birthday was 29.  I’ll turn 30 this November and I don’t have any negative feelings about it (looking forward to it actually), but 29 really kicked my butt.  It doesn’t help that Fiance is 3 years younger than me :-/ but I had a huge birthday party and that helped me feel better.  I say celebrate yourself ๐Ÿ™‚  Happy birthday!

i just turned 36 last week and did a lot of soul searching … this might sound odd but I finally feel grown-up. I’ve found myself gathering photos and putting toghether albums and portfolio to “summarize” life up to this point, mainly things I’ve done, places I’ve been in the last decade or so. That made me feel better. It helps to give me perspective by looking backwards so that I can move forward, if that makes sense. I do feel life is moving into a new stage, at the same time I trust myself more to handle whatever comes next because older does feel wiser! There is so much life and so much love in front of us we just need to be open to experience it all ๐Ÿ™‚

They say growing old is a gift that not everyone is given……I try to remember that when I think about getting older each birthday

I’ll be 35 next month. I think I’ll handle it a little better than I did turning 30. Then, I cried all night the night before my birthdya because I was not where I wanted to be in life – still single, no babies, and not really on a serious road to either. (My then boyfriend didn’t deal with that very well either.) When I turn 35, I still won’t have any kids, but at least I know we have a plan to get there.

Fiance and I both just turned 35 this month (we’re a week apart) – and it was a little rougher on me than him from the kids standpoint … but we both agree age is just a number and every thing happens at the right time. Besides your 30’s are the new 20’s so have fun with it!!

Things really started snowballing when I was 28, by 30 I think I gave up, and now I’m almost 32 ๐Ÿ™ I try to not think about the daily motions of anti-wrinkle creams and pants that don’t fit, but yea- I’m ready for this decade to end. Getting old is hard to accept, maybe actually being old will be easier.
