- Wedding: September 2011
I never thought I would share so many pictures of our wedding online, but now that I see all the shots, I simply must. If anyone in the Philadelphia area is looking for a photographer, I cannot recommend ours highly enough. All photo credit here goes to Georgi Anastasov and his work truly deserves this kind of sharing.
These photos document guys getting ready, girls getting ready, first peek with Dad, first look with groom, and group shots with the bridal party. Essentially everything leading up to our 6 PM wedding ceremony. 🙂
Most of the elements of this wedding were DIY, from the groomsmen vests and dog outfit to the flowers to all the paper goods. I hope you like what you see!
Above: Groom (now husband!) helps his brother with his tie.
Above: They are probably complimenting each other on looking very handsome.
Above: I love everything about this photo. I love the vintage/rustic look and feel to it. I love the way my handsome husband looks with a slight smirk on his face. I love the lighting, the lamp, the old blanket on the bed… it’s perfect.
Above: This is our dog, Meatball. Meatball’s outfit was made by my uber-talented Mother-in-Law, who also made all the vests the guys are wearing, sewed bunting, helped to decorate lanterns for the tables and organized the flower assembly. She also made all the boutonnieres.
Above: My sister had this hanger made for me by an etsy seller. I love the addition of the flower and burlap, which went nicely with everything else.
Above: My best friend and bridesmaid did my hair. We did a trial run a few days before the wedding. The end result on the big day was even better than the trial! I was very fortunate.
Above: My sister helped me into my dress while my mom looked on. 🙂
Above: The dress is by Maggie Sottero and it is Grace Lynette in champagne with an ivory lace overlay.
Above: My dad cried from that moment on for the rest of the day. Awww.
Above: Waiting patiently for our first look. 🙂
After our first look, we got some pictures on the farm together as a group as well as some pictures of my husband and I together.
Above: This is pretty much one of my top 5 photos of the whole day. I am getting this enlarged and hanging it in our home.
LOVE. It rained about 4 inches the day before the wedding. It was supposed to rain on the actual day. When I woke up that morning, my sister and I dashed to turn on the weather report. We danced around together and cried happy tears as they announced the rain would hold off and it would actually get bright and sunny. The ground was still very wet due to all the rain from the day before, but that gave us a good excuse to go tramping around in rubber boots. 🙂
Above: Another favorite.
Above: The photo above and the one below are also two of my favorites. Honestly, it becomes hard to pick a favorite. Haha.
Next up, I would like to post some pictures of the ceremony and reception, which is where we’re walking off to at the moment. (Not pictured in the middle were all the family formal pictures. What a snooze, right? 😉 teehee)
I hope you like these photos!
