Maybe try prescription retinol (great for anti-aging too, but you HAVE to use suncream and you do peel a bit at first). Or try The Ordinary. Contact them for a regimen. Their stuff is so cheap. Their Facebook group chat thing is worth a follow too.

ChasingZenith :  I always had medium breakouts since I was a teen. Left pigmentation scars on my face. I was most frustrated because I had to wear foundation so much to cover up the scars even when my face at that moment wasn’t breaking out much. I had also tried so many different things, Proactive, pills, birth control, a few demotologist skin systems. I am now 33 and I finally found a solution.

– I got a peel series done on my face every 6 months for 2 years. Specifically Environ peels. You can search for a place that does them in your area. I would go for 6 peels over a period of 6 weeks. One peel per week. They are super gentle and didn’t make me red or hurt at all. After about 3 series of them my skin now needs very minimal powder coverage, it tired out my acne so I hardly ever break out. It removed my old red scars, brown marks, sun spots, and evened my skin tone. Stopped acne from being so bad.

– I also started using Hydrogen peroxide on my face. It kills bacteria very well. I swipe my face with it with a cotton swab twice a day morning and night after i wash my face. It works wonders. My coworker, her sister and I all use hydrogen peroxide bc we all have the same facialist who did the peels for us and she recommended this too.

-I clean all makeup brushes regularly with alocohol spray, I change my pillow cases 2 times a week, I spray down my phone each night with alcohol.

I wish I had gone to a dermatologist years ago. There are so many options that may help you! I always kept trying something new, and giving it time to work thinking I could fix it on my own.  Curology did WONDERS for me, but after doing a round of Accutane it’s like having someone else’s skin.  I was worried about the side effects so I did a lower dose for longer (40mg a day for 9 months).  I started in August 2017 and have had maybe 2 pimples since. Getting treatment for my acne has honestly changed my life.  Maybe try dairy free and the probiotic, but also make a dermatologist appointment.  It’s been the best thing I’ve done for myself!
