Please help a fellow Bee!!! I am trying to put together an arragement for our alter and I am having some trouble….I found some pretty cool looking Willow type branches that I wanted to use to add some of our wedding colors to the alter while adding a personal touch. I started putting something together but there is something about it that I dont like…I have asked others & they suggested adding flowers, but not sure what kind or the best way to go about it. My wedding colors are Red with Black & white damask and touches of silver. Our wedding is September 27, 2013, so lots of fall things to work with.
I would like to make 2 similar arrangements for each side of the alter. If anyone has any ideas or pictures it would be a huge help!!! Please post any thoughts or pics or feel free to message me so I can provide an email address for direct pictures.
PLEASE HELP a fellow bee out!!!

You have a really good foundation to work upon. This is all I could think of at the moment. You could wrap a damask and / or red ribbon / paper around the vases and add red flowers to the top of the vase or throughout the willows.

We made 2 large urns for our ceremony. Mylook is a little more natural and less vibrant than yours but you get an idea. We used curly willow…uber cheap and then accented with berries, eucalyptus and moss.
I like the sticks you have but I feel the glass vase is a little small in comparison to the sticks. Maybe something bigger, taller or solid color rather than glass? Good starting point though.

The vase isn’t tall enough to balance the height of the arrangement.

Honestly I love them the way they are already.
Instead of the rocks you could have lights in the bottom. You could put candles around them.

@EffieTrinket: +1 that was my first thought of why it’s a bit “off.” You need a taller vase the proportions look off otherwise and something to lighten the colors up a bit, like some silver or white fabric similar to photoshopped ones above.

Great Ideas!!!! I was thinking the base needed to be changed….the glass does seem really small, so I think I might try for a larger maybe Red Ceramic type pot of some sort. Just kept picking at it & couldnt get it just right….. I am a Very detailed person (OCD almost, guess thats why I became a CPA…hahaha) & something just wasnt right, so I wanted some help from other ladies…. Thanks again!!! & any other ideas are Welcomed!!!
