So…I’ll be honest. I’m not one to really put in a lot of time and energy into working out and eating healthy. (I’m the complete opposite from my future hubby.) But I didnt’ want to be the only bride that didn’t try to get in shape for her wedding. So I looked into gyms (anyone that lives in the Boston area knows how expensive and awful a job that can be…) and I figured that who knows how long I’m even going to stick with this so why am I going to spend just under $100/month for the full year. Now for me to go a grand total of 8 miles to work on the Boston subway system it takes me an hour and a half. So I’m already waking up earlier than I want to to make it to work on time…how much can I really add to it…
Well….I can add 45 minutes every other morning and lose all my cellulite (soemthing i’ve been battleing since i got on the pill when I was in middle school) give me abs, lift my tush, get rid of that cupcake effect when I wear pants….IN 2 WEEKS!!!!!! And no i have not been watching what I eat.
So I just wanted to share with you the video that I’ve been using in case the gym isn’t something you can easily fit in or afford with the upcoming wedding.
The Firm: Ultimate Fat Burning Workout and the woman doing the video isn’t that annoying! :o)
Instead of doing the cool down though I do crunches and leg exercises and pushups but still…. I mean, really, who does the cool downs anyways?!?!?!
Just wanted to share!

I think I have that on DVD! I only did it once so far. I’m more of a "get up wicked early and go to the gym" person than a "workout video" person, but maybe I’ll give it another shot! Did you lose weight over the course of those two weeks?
I’m glad it worked so well for you! Way to go!

5 pounds…I don’t really have a lot of weight to lose I just want whats there to not be where it is anymore…you know??? I just really needed to tone. It says on it that in 10 workouts you can see a huge difference and I did see it, I started noticing a difference after 5.
I so wasn’t the kind of person that could do it without someone right there yelling at me if I’m not doing what I was supposed to. Or friends to tell me to go to the gym with them but now i’m hooked.
****I will warn you though…the first few times you do it don’t really get deep into the squats or you won’t ever want to do it again. I couldn’t walk for a week!*****

Where did you buy this DVD? I found it online but would rather buy it at Target or something if they have it.

Will have to try it! I also really like the Biggest Loser videos! All you need are a few dumbells. You can do their full workouts in under 45 minutes. It never fails to make me sweat and burn!

I have The Firm, I love it!! I also have the Biggest Loser DVDs which are great if you mute Jillian. They really do work. All you need for The Firm is a couple of great dumbells.

I’ve done this one a few more times recently, and I do like it. I especially like the way it’s sort of broken up by the different types of moves.
The kickboxing part is especially easy for me because it uses some of the same moves as Tae-Bo — I used to have a Tae-Bo video that I did so many times I memorized all the moves. 🙂
I used to work at a bookstore, which was where I bought mine, but I’m sure Target and such probably have it.

I got mine at Target…$15!
I do it Monday Wednesday and Friday. If I’m up to it I might do it on the weekends too.
Really it says on the video that you’ll see results after 10 uses they aren’t kidding. I started noticeing a difference after only 5 or so.
I love it!
I love the biggest loser but I could never have that woman in my ear! She must be making a fortune off it though…she’s got cookbooks and everything. I refuse to buy into it.
Good luck ladies!
