- Wedding: September 2012
I can’t believe it has been over a month since my blissful “I do’s” . Not everything turned out as planned but in the end it was a beautiful day 🙂 We originally had orchids ordered for all our head table center pieces however we got an email 4 days before saying that they canceled our shipment- so last minute we did the best we could with the flowers we could find locally in a small town in Ohio. The roses we ordered from GlobalRose and I could not have been happier. We ordered 750 roses and they were beautiful!!! However I ordered pink garden roses from 50Flowers and they were HORRIBLE!!! I ended up throwing them away. However 50 flowers did refund my money.
So in the end- was it the glamourous high-scale wedding I dreamed of? No- but I was happy with how it turned out from planning it from across the country (I live in Los Angeles, wedding was in Small Town Ohio). I had a really hard time finding vendors in that area that you put out the quality I was hoping for.
Kick- Ass Awesome Vendor List:
Lighting- Andrew Fox Entertainment -419-233-3240
Videographer- Prodigy Cinema- Nathan
Flower- Global Rose
A party a part – (Dance floor and glassware)
Cake- Baked to Perfection – Alex
Band- Limelight – Green Emerald Entertainment (we flew them in from Dallas Texas)
and of course I highly recommend our favorite vendor- ALCOHOL- (made the party really fun)
Do – Not Vendor List:
Henry Photography- Columbus (Extremely talented photographer, but doesnt listen to what you want and shoots more for their portfolio, I was not treated very well and she was rude to my bridesmaids. I was really excited about them shooting my wedding, but disappointed with the outcome. My advice, if you are a picky bride, detail oriented and know what you want- find someone else. If you are relaxed and more easy going- you will probably love them.
Fifty Flowers and Orchid 2 Orchid
The diamond earrings were a present from my beloved man 🙂 They were gorgeous!!!
After 3 attempts, I finally made the perfect flower girl dresses- I used feathers from my reception dress and flowers from my ceremony dress on each of the girls dresses (I wanted to put something personal on them )
Due to rain- we had to have the wedding in my hometown church last minute- I was SO UPSET by this, I really really wanted an outside wedding 🙂
My parents with their grandbabies 🙂
As a music professional- I had to have the best! And Limelight is by far the best cover band. Although they come with a hefty price tag 😉
We did a choreographed entrance dance- It was hilarious!!!
I made all of my bridesmaid dresses personally- just so they could be the exact color and look I wanted. They turned out perfectly and all my girls loved them 🙂
At the End of the Day- I was a Mrs… and regardless of the weather, bad vendors, good vendors…and even my horrible hair that got wet- When its all said and done nothing else matters but being a Mrs.
