somathemagical :  Oh oh AND the ex-husband and new wife refused to pay for the kids braces because the crooked teeth come from the mom’s side…

It was an absolute gem of a thread.

Sansa85 :  I can’t find the cache for the last one sadly. Did anyone ever find the link to his youtube channel?

somathemagical :  Agreed. I almost prefer it at that point when the OP deletes the thread. At least then we know she read it. The bamboozler from yesterday had shades of Jen the Work Wife Update where the OP kept getting ragged on and she just kept coming back and making herself look worse.

To the topic at hand, I agree with Sansa that you should examine why this bothers you so much, OP. Are you very competitive with your friend in general? Do you dislike her boyfriend and appreciate any reason to have an issue with him? Just for example.

chelbell23 :  the link that I found that was still up had the word “trashed” in it. Do threads deleted by the op say that? Maybe weddingbee deleted it?

Sansa85 :  I just kept getting a 404 error…I’m not sure. I would assume if the OP deleted it, the cache would remain. But a site admin deletion would probably result in a more complete erasure? I have no idea though

llulu :  Why don’t you just be happy for your best friend and yourself. You are acting so entitled and unappreciative…

When she comes back you should of course congratulate them and compliment her on the ring, you obviously think it’s gorgeous given that you have the same one. You need to get over this and fast. I hate to be blunt, but you are not talking like a best friend.

Is there any problem with being ring twins? Best friends get matching tattoos, matching space-themed yoga pants, matching bracelets…  Find a way to make this special. Maybe find meaning in the fact that your ring has ties to your future husband and your best friend, people that you love dearly!

Pushing someone to get engaged is dangerous and immature and the poor guy probably didn’t have enough time to grow a creative bone in his body. Maybe your BFF and her Fiance had conversations that you weren’t a part of and maybe she really really wanted this style. I can’t see how this was spiteful. Possibly rushed.

How old are y’all?

For the rest of the wedding planning, think of ways to keep things different. I tried on a dress that was very similar to my best friend’s and yes… I couldn’t shake it, so I hung it back up and moved on. I tried on other dresses and we were both unique and beautiful on our wedding days. But maybe we could have had matching shoes to honor our friendship. She even bought us matching friendship rings in college 🙂 It’s literally going to be fine.

llulu :  A few scenarios on how she ended up as your ring twin:

1. She absolutely loved your ring so much she told her bf she wanted the same style.

2. Her bf loved your ring so much and decided he wanted to get the same for her.

3. Without even realizing that her ring was similar to yours (because it’s an insanely popular style…) it was purchased and proposed with.

You’re over-reacting. Be happy for your friend.

This is an insane level of over reaction. And it might not have even been your friend’s choice yet she is being punished!

As someone with an antique diamond solitaire, my ring is fairly usual but I wouldn’t be at all annoyed if my friend ended up inheriting or buying an identical one. Try to see it as a nice thing.
