I’m so excited to be able to write my story. So on Friday (my birthday), my Fiance (yay love that word) and I were suppose to go up north with a bunch of friends for a New Year’s weekend. At last minute he had to work so we couldn’t leave until later that night and we were suppose to bring 2 other people with us. Well we didn’t get there until about 10pm. We rented a house/cottage in Northern Michigan with about 12 other friends. When we got there we unloaded the car and were just getting settled with our friends when I noticed Fiance still had his coat and shoes on and I asked him if he was going to take his shoes and coat off. He told me he wanted to give me my birthday present outside on the house’s large deck. I wasn’t super thrilled as it was cold and snowy and I had just driven 4 hours, but I did anyway. So we went out on this large deck and just chated a few minutes and then he handed me my present, I unwrapped it and it was a t-shirt to the college we are both alumni of. I said “oh that’s nice and thank you.” Then he said to me “well that really isn’t the real present”. He turned around pulled the ring out of his coat pocket got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife with the snow falling on this beautiful deck in the middle of these woods. It was completely perfect! I couldn’t have asked for anything else and bonus we were able to share the moment with a bunch of our close friends who of course found out when we came back inside.
