So, since I’ve gotten more into the weddingbee boards, and been reading them late at night, I’ve been having wedding dreams. They were mostly normal until last night.
I dreamt that I got home from somewhere and my fiance had gotten a surgeon to sew a half-corset in the back of the dog. Yes. He put a corset in the dog. To make it tighter, I guess…When I saw this, I demanded to see the vet bill. Turns out putting the corset in the dog had only cost $50, so I began to excitedly ask fiance if he thought that meant I could get one in my wedding dress for less…you know…since the dress isn’t alive.
That was it. Short, but ridiculous. The whole time, my corseted dog was running around. So what crazy wedding dreams have you had?

I had a crazy wedding dream last night…..and I got married nearly a year ago! I had many more leading up to the wedding.
Last night’s dream was that we had decided to have our reception over two days with half the guests coming on the first day, and half coming on the second day (weird!). Unfortunately, I forgot to tell my florist/decorator about the two day reception. So while I had flowers, a bouquet and tablecloths and chair covers on the first day, the second day the room was completely bare and really ugly and I didn’t have a bouquet. This was devastating to me in my dream and I was very happy when I woke up!

LOL @ corset dog. Let’s hope that’s a fetish that never EVER gets realized in real life. Although with the way some people are dressing their dogs…
Anyway, I never had any wedding dreams, but one of my bridesmaids (bless her) had a wedding nightmare on my behalf.
Basically, on the day of the wedding, there was a hurricane/tornado combination that tore up the venue, and on top of that we were beset by dire wolves. And all of this, somehow, was her fault. Also, likely as we were fleeing the natural disasters and canine pursuers, she ruined my shoes, presumably by stepping on them.
I told her that unless she had some kind of superhuman meteorological powers or could produce a very convincing and carrying approximation of a wolf howl, we were probably in the clear, but she’d better stay the hell away from my shoes 😉
Happily my wedding was free of natural disasters, wolves, and shoe maulings.

I had a wedding nightmare last night. I literally woke up with tears in my eyes from it! Bascially, I got an E-Mail from my venue saying that they had neglected to renew their restaurant license (not even sure if that’s a thing!?)… So, they told me I could not have my reception there becuase the restuarant was closing down. Then, they didn’t give me a refund on my deposit!
Sometimes I dream things that sort of predict the future, so this has me scared. Three nights ago, I dreamt that Future Sister-In-Law purposely got pregnant to steal my wedding thunder. The next day FCIL announced she was going to start trying to get pregnant in December, and if everything goes right, she’ll be 7 months by my wedding.

Me. Steven Segal. Tornadoes. All I remember is we were trying to get to the venue, but tornadoes kept popping up everywhere we looked. Then, there was Steven Segal. He really didn’t help with anything, but everytime he talked he refused to look at us….
I have no idea what my subconscious was trying to say there! I don’t even like Segal.
I woke up confused….

These kinds of dreams are scary! I had one where my parents and Fiance dressed me up in an poofy white dress I didn’t want and were forcing me to get married in a place I didn’t know. I kept yelling about how we had a venue for next year all paid up and it was so pretty and I have so many plans to decorate it! Can’t we wait? I begged and pleaded but they kept saying no, no… have to get married here and now. Maybe we can do a sort of wedding party next year at the real venue. And I was insistant that this wouldn’t be the same, if I got married now! I woke up all confused with tears in my eyes. It was scary at the time, but when I woke up again a couple hours later, it seemed funny… and then I happily woke my Fiance up to gush about how proud I was at having my first wedding-related nightmare!
@Pinksapphire: I usually listen to my dreams, too… but I have no idea what this could mean! Oh dear. 🙂

@staceynrick: Haha, Steven Segal and tornadoes? That’s pretty great.

Had a dream we got married in a pool, and my dress was like a cotton maxidress that was black and green.
Also in this dream everything was just really out of place, nothing was organized… I was out there helping with decorations before walking down the aisle. (Can you tell I’m stressing about not having a DOC? 🙂 )

I dreamt a couple nights ago that literally EVERYTHING about our wedding went completely wrong.
– I forgot my dress at home
– We forgot to pick up the rentals and thus we were missing dishes and silverware plates and chairs for our entire wedding
– I helped set up the reception barn too long and then did not have time to do my hair or makeup. I ended uo walking down the aisle in a beach dress, flip flops, an a pony tail and no makeup.
– We forgot to make our floral arrangements and forgot our decorations at home and thus we were lacking every bit of decoration for our wedding.
Basically, we forgot EVERYTHING and our wedding was a massive failure. I cried myself awake and was so thankful it was only a dream!!

We were getting married in the middle of a field, with nothing around but grass, and we got to the officiant and realized we never bought wedding bands. I looked at Fiance and said, I am really dissapointed because I really wanted to shop for rings. WTF. I guess all I care about right now is rings.

@soyjoy222: Hey, rings are important! Haha
To everyone with the disorganization dreams, I had one of those. I was heading to the wedding from work, and work ran late, so I threw on a white dress, and didn’t have time to do my hair and makeup.
Last night, though, I had one where instead of a bouquet, I carried an ice cream cone (been at work too much) and when I got to the altar, my mom filled it with ice cream from the freezers at the ends of the pews. I ate it during the ceremony….Hehe.

I had many dreams that were so “out there” they didn’t bother me- and then I started having dreams (about 3 months before) that wedding happened and the only things that were planned/organized were what was alredy planned in reali life up to that point (for example, I didn’t have my dress buslted so we used binder clips). Needless to say those types of dreams have lit a fire under my ass in terms of staying on top of the planning.
