Ok so I have posted on here before about my Bridesmaid or Best Man dress using an etsy store for a pink infinity dress. However- the shop owner informed me she no longer has the color that I really really want. I cannot ask my girls (I have 10) to pay $270 for a two birds dress- so I went and purchased some MOCK fabric to see how hard these dresses really are to make. The Answer?? EXTREMELY easy. I have not touched a sewing machine in a couple of years and I was able to get my dress done (first try) within 2 hrs. The most complicated part was the initial measuring. I picked a floral print that was cute and I would wear spring/summertime. So in worst case scenario I at least got a cute dress out of it 🙂 I found the exact color/fabric that I want (same as rosewater from Two Birds) it take about 4 yards per dress. This winds up costing MAX $35 a dress. YEA!! Super excited about my new little project…Now I just need to find a weekend when I have some time lol.
So here is my infinity summer dress. I need to trim the bottom to give it a more even butterfly look- but you get the idea 🙂

Wow! Great idea and great job on the dress! Do you have a pic of the fabric you’ll be using on the bm dresses?

Here is the fabric! I love it- it is exactly like twobirds rosewater 🙂 I don’t think this picture does it justice of how gorgeous it really is… However I think the quality I purchased is a little better! It never wrinkles 🙂

I LOVE the two birds rosewater dress aswell and want to make my own (I practised in another colour like you too and found it simple – see my attempt in navy below!) but I cannot find the fabric in a rosewater colour ANYWHERE! Where did you get the fabric from?
