This is the bouquet I want. Visited my florist yesterday and the amaryllis (large pink flower on the left) will be out of season. I half expected this but didn’t do any research into what alternatives would work and my florist suggest a rose that was a similar colour. I agreed initially but now it’s bothering me as I wanted to steer clear of roses. To me roses are English country garden and I wanted my colours to look subtley exotic.
Anybody know a flower similar to an amaryllis that might work instead? I was looking at lilies but they only seem to come in a hot pink and are quite expensive. Any help appreciated bees!

Can’t really find anything that looks matchy-matchy. Are tulips or peonies in season?
Light pink calla’s are pretty and not too expensive.
Orchids are lovely too, but on the pricier side.

@adw2c – Glad I could help you too!

Asiatic lillies come in that light pink color. I think that you saw stargazers. They are hot pink.

maybe pink protea? I think that the color would work nicely with your inspiration, and the texture would be nice too. They run around $6 each, and you wouldn’t want more than a couple as they make a big statement. Hope that this helps:)

or pink sweet peas. They would be perfect for this style of a bouquet… and the perfect color!

I echo the Protea. I’ve seen them in bouquet pictures and they are very different, but really cool.

Yeah, I was thinking of a protea! I’ll see what my florist says about that. I think I could get away with just the one.
I also love sweet peas, will check if they’re in season.
