@mrskisstobe: I’d say wait until the 12th till you call again, you haven’t even passed the shipping date yet!

My guess is they get notices when things ship, and that’s why they don’t even check when you call.  I agree with Bostonsmom.  Wait till the 12th, then call.  Or wait until they tell you that it shipped.  Orrr, even wait until it comes in.  It sounds pretty normal; don’t worry.

I have the same problem with my bridal salon (used for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses). They don’t care and they’re the biggest bridal salon in my area… so very busy. I just make sure they know I mean business. I tell them to check my sheet to see if BM’s ordered their dresses… they say, it looks like they have. Oh really? Well what about the last two who were pregnant? Umm, it says here everyone has. How many people is that? Oh, it’s 5 people. Well I have 7 BMs m’am. Oh… let me go check real quick.

Baha! Just keep asking questions and make sure they answer your real question. I try not to be mean, but come on… we’re paying a lot of money for their services. It’s their job. If you can’t get anything over the phone, go in person (which is hard because I live 3 hours away, that’s why I’m so pushy).

Stalk them…seriously you NEED your dress, you paid them alot of money for the dress and service, I’m sure you could’ve bought your dress online for a lot cheaper….it’s their job to provide good customer service, you paid for that!

You shouldn’t care if they hate you or not. This is your dress, you paid for it with your hard earned money and you have every right to call every day and inquire about your dress. Keep calling until they give you the answer you want 🙂

I wouldn’t worry about calling them, no matter how they act.  But, if it makes you feel any better, I ordered a Maggie Sottero dress (Calista) and it was supposed to not be in until May 20th but I got a call last week that it is already here!!  We did pay extra to put a rush on it though =)

I’m going to go against the grain here. I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND wanting to know where your dress is. That said, they already told you it was supposed to ship on Apr 11th. At this point, you’ve verified that its not coming early, so leave them alone. Honestly, I’d even say you should wait until the 13th or 14th in case the dress ships late at night or from the wrong place in the world to technically make it Apr 11th where you are. In the end, they can’t really make it come faster since the dress wasn’t rush ordered.

Don’t worry about them hating you, I’m sure its just frusterating to everyone to have you call several times about a dress shipment they can’t change. But it will be here soon!!! Yay for you!

I work on the prom side of the dress business. We don’t usually call to check on dresses until it is on or past the ship date. The reason that we do not call is because the designer won’t have anything new to tell us until (at the earliest) the week the gown is suppose to ship. It is produced in China then ships to the designer’s warehouse then ships to store you bought it from. The designer doesn’t receive updates about your specific dress. The earliest they can give you new information is typically when the dress is invoiced to ship from the warehouse to the store. It IS possible to call China and receive an update there but usually takes a few days with the time difference and designers really don’t like to do this unless the gown isn’t at the warehouse at its scheduled date.

I would wait until the week your derss is scheduled to ship and call then.

I would wait until the 11th in the afternoon to check and see if the dress has come in yet.
