I thought they wrote on the receipt that alterations were included?

If they did then you win.  Speak to the manager.  Keep escalating, until you get resolution.

@O.My.Heart:  Unfortunately, if all the wrote was belt and bustle then that is all they are obligated to cover.

Is there any way to downsize something to pay for the rest of the alterations?  Unfortunately, I think you are out of luck.

Do you have a copy of the receipt?  Whatever is written on there is what they are obligated to do.  If you’re out of luck, there has to be something you can cut back on to afford the few hundred dollars for alterations.

Also try taking it somewhere other then the bridal shop.  They tend to have a huge mark up on alterations (well and everything really).

i would go directly to the shop with your mom or sister and be like I am sorry but we had agreed on the alterations these were side notes to make sure that this kind of thing wouldn’t happen , get the salesperson also I hate when people are the nicest people until they get your money then BAM ! They change their attitude make them understand that. The only reason you went with them was for this reason alteration included , if that wasn’t the case you wouldn’t have busted you budget … These things make me mad ! And if you can get the store owner involved !!

@O.My.Heart:  haha thanks !!! When it comes to that amount of money it’s serious like honestly  they are already making profit on the dress make the client happy you know. they don’t seem to realise that the best advertising is word of mouth Because there are hundreds of bridal stores  … What make them special … Why would you recommened them .. Im sure your sister will get married one day if she already isn’t lol you know lol anywayse I’m happy that you came to a compromise but make sure that’s all the changes that need to me done cause once you say okay it’s over you can’t go back .. Scary words lol
