I was so excited and nervous the morning of my bridal shower. My mom and sister fought so much over planning, but I’m so happy with how everything turned out! I can’t believe how many ways I was blessed on this day. I’m not sure why I don’t like sharing my face on a public forum, but here’s a few pics of what everything looked like anyways!
P.S. I really DON’T have super dark roots. I have no clue why it looks like I do. I’m definitely a natural blonde. lol
Meet the bride & groom (Complete with 5 years worth of scrapbooks!)
Meet the maids!
Our family has this tradition where, when we are christened, we wear a little bonnet. For our wedding, the bonnet is snipped to become our hankey. I cried when I opened it. My grandmother died of cancer when I was in 3rd grade. She always called me “Princess #2” (My big sister was Princess #1) The box was addressed, “To Princess #2.” I lost it the second I saw the box.
An adorable picnic basket from Future Mother-In-Law and 2 of my BMs!
Everyone wanted to fix my bow, lol:

I’m glad I’m not the only emotional one! I miss her so much 🙁
Thank you and thank you! 🙂
I was really excited about it. I can’t believe how much work my sister and mom put into decorating. It blew me away!
Thanks! Found it on sale a few days prior. lol

My grandma passed when I was in 9th (I’m 34 now) and if I got a present like that I would be in hysterical tears! I plan to somehow use her beaded purse in my wedding. She showed it to me when I was very young and said it would be mine when she passed. It was the ONE thing I asked for when mom was cleaning out the house.

I totally lost it when I read about the gift from your grandmother – I’ve never missed by grandmother so much as during this planning process. Courage!

Awe. That’s so wonderful to have a connection with her like that. I was too young to know of anything I wanted to remind me of her. She was ill for a while, so she did the memory planning for me.

I LOVE your shower dress! What a great shower. 🙂 We lost my grandmother years ago as well, and as a bridal shower gift, my mother gave me my grandmother’s bracelet, which I wore on our wedding day. I’ve never really been a crier, but when I opened that gift? Bawled the ugly cry!

Thank you! That’s such a touching story. I bet it was so so special to wear it on your wedding day! (P.S. I totally bawled an ugly cry as well, someone a friend capture a more touching photo versus the atrocity that actually occurred. lol)
