Actually, that’s what we’re planning for my bachlorette- though we may be going to a spa before hand to be “grown up”.

Sounds super fun! That’s what I have planned for the night before the wedding (which is tomorrow night! SQUEEEEEE!) – we’re doing nails, watching wedding movies, bit of goss – super excited about it! I say go for it – they’ll love it when they’re there!

i LOVE to go out and party and drink and dance….but you’re plan is JUST as amazing. i love both kinds of fun. and honestly, i think it is quite mean that your friends laughed at your idea.  they WILL have fun, and they can party any night they want! if you told them this is what you want, i think they should respect it and make it as fun as possible for you. also, if i was one of those BMs, i might even be relieved since it sounds A LOT less expensive! i was a Maid/Matron of Honor a couple of years ago and planning those parties, while getting people to donate and contribute, still adds up to quite a bit!

I think it sounds like a lovely evening, I mean if you were only going to go to a bar and talk to the ladies you went with, why not make it at a house and more intimate setting.  I love it!

Its your bachelorette party so whatever you want should go. Your girls should respect that if you’re  not the partying type that you wouldn’t want that type of party. I think the idea sounds fun!

For my bachelorette party we just spent the night in a hotel that was close to an outdoor shopping mall and we shopped, ate, bowled and had a few drinks back at the hotel.  Nothing fancy, but it was a lot of fun, so I see nothing wrong with your idea!

I totally get where you’re coming from, but here’s an idea- maybe yours BMs just want to make this EXTRA special for you? You can have a sleepover any night, but how often do you get to go all out, get a little crazy, and be the center of attention? They probably just want you to have an awesome night and something a little different than an average night in.

But whatever makes you happy!

Oh my gosh, I think your party sounds so fun!  Like others have said, you could have cocktails at the sleepover if your BMs want to drink, but it’s really about what you want to do.  If you wouldn’t have fun going out barhopping, then that shouldn’t even be on the table!

I would prefer a throwback girls night sleepover over a wild night on the town any day! Your idea is great, Ms. Shamrock! Do it; I’m sure you’ll have so much fun and laughter and create so many great memories!

We did the throwback girls night sleepover for my bachelorette – it was super-fun! We also had a mobile spa come to my house and do mini-massages and mani-pedis. It was fun and fairly cheap. All the girls were looking for a relaxing night anyways, and we had fun. I say GO FOR IT!!
