I don’t think it’s bad! Looks good. just needs a little touch up. If I just looked at it without reading the title i wouldnt see anything wrong. Just seems like it needs to be evened out a bit.

@1blingedoutbride:  I usually don’t like brooch bouquets, but I think yours looks great!

@Xu:  Pretty sure the $75 ones are the downpayment only, not the full cost. If not, please share with us bees!

I think it looks nice. I’m not a big fan of the cone showing, and I agree with PP – add more color or take out the dark purple. But overall I think it looks nice!

@FutureDrAtkins:  Oh girl, I think you’re right. Drag! Still, I’d personally pay someone else to do it (if it was something I really wanted) because I just don’t have an eye for design.  : /

@Xu:  Yeah 🙁 I paid someone else for mine and I love it. I spent $240 total, which is what a floral bouquet would’ve cost, and just a bit over what it would cost to make it by hand. I knew I didn’t have the time, patience, or skill to do it myself, so I just bought one.

@1blingedoutbride:  I think it looks good. You just need to cover the plastic from the base up. Use the same kind of material that you have at the top or use the top material.

I think you have a grreat start!

Are you willing to put some more metals in?

It really took me a while to find all the brooches for mine via eBay and I even bought large earrings and pendants that I could wire up to just add more dimension and sparkle.

Are you looking for it to be a bit bigger?

What exactly are you disappointed with?

I would love to help so please let me know your concerns and I’ll do my best to advise you how to bring it up to where you’re in love and can’t imagine your day without it!

PS. Here’s mine from my wedding – I used 4 silk hydrangea but I got tonssss of brooches and metals and made sure I covered all the flowers cuz I didn’t want any silk flowers showing:

I specifically wanted vintage brooches so I didn’t mind when they were worn and used and a little battered… I can see yours look pretty new and shiney so that might have added to your out of pocket costs.

These are all less than $4 and most are free shipping on ebay:

Definitely let me know your concerns and I’ll try to help as much as possible!

I would deconstruct it right now… If you’re not happy, it needs to change and we can help you for sure!

The only thing I don’t like is how the cone is visible in the last photo. You could probably could cover it up with ribbon. Maybe if it’s bigger/fuller you’ll be happier with it?

I actually think it’s really beautiful. Maybe just rewrap the handle part?

it’s not a disaster…i think you should remove the letters and replace them with some jewelled brooches

The tulle seems to not quite go. I would lose that. I would also wrap waaaaay more ribbon around the whole holder, in a brighter colour than white (purple?) a hot glue gun will be your friend!

I think it is beautiful!  You did a great job!  If YOU don’t like it, think about what you don’t like about it, and see if you can change that part.

Most people on here seem to also think it is beautiful.
