I hate that when a recipe doesn’t come out, trying new recipes is always a crap shoot.  The ones that get me are the ones with great reviews and you follow the reciped exactly and it still sucks.  Makes you wanna know if the people reviewing have tastebuds.

Salted caramel chocolate mousse – oh my, that does sound yummy!

@tksjewelry: I hate that too. But I find on like 90% of recipes listed online, reviewers are rating the recipe based on their revisions, not the original recipe exactly as written. And that drives me CRAZY. If you are gonna change five things from the original recipe, don’t review it as if it’s still the same thing, write your own recipe or don’t review it and mess up the rating of the actual recipe! Geeze!

@CarolinaCola: EXACTLY!  I just needed a blueberry cake recipe and finally just gave up and made my own up.  I was getting tired of reading the thrirty posts reviewing and changing it.  The other thing I can’t stand is they don’t list area of the country.  I was going to make a cake, luckily I did read all the posts, because after about twenty posts, the author finally said she was in Denver.  ugh, There is a big difference in cooking times and other things from Denver to the plains.

@tksjewelry: I’ve never payed attention to the area of the country! I’ll start looking out for that. I got a recipe recently and I made it exactly as the recipe said to, and it was BURNT. Like black burnt. The recipe writer being in a different area than me might have had something to do with it.
