If you still want to do it, then do it! I love the inspiration photo, and your photo is beautiful, I’m just a little confused as to where they would sign on yours. At my cousin’s wedding, they had an engagement photo printed with a flat white frame, and had guests sign on the frame. cute idea too!

We’re doing the same thing. I think the only way it works is if your background is in stark contrast to the couple and is fairly solid/consistent, which yours is. I mean, what’s the worst that happen? You end up getting an unmarked canvas down the road? I know I will never look at a guest book and want something to be able to look at and say, “Wow, look how many important people we have in our lives. We’re very lucky people.” Go for it! Your photo is GORGEOUS by the way.

I love this idea and I think you should definitely still do it. It’s going to a great memorabilia from your wedding day:)

I voted not to sign it because I think it looks great..but I’ve changed my mind! I think a guestbook is a treasure, and this would be so fun for you and guests. And you can always get another picture on a canvas (even a wedding picture instead of an engagement picture) if you just want a nice picture for your home!

    Sign away!

    (p.s. lovely picture!)

It’s a great picture, but suggest you don’t have people sign it. The background has a lot going on so it might be hard to read the signatures. I went to a wedding where they had fall leaves in the background and you couldn’t read anything. I ended up signing our names near their outfit to get some solid background and the bridemaid gave me a dirty look.

I think its really cute!! I would test (on a different piece of paper/canvas obviously) both a silver sharpie and a silver paint pen (you can get these at Michaels or any craft store). A lot of times the paint pens are a more vibrant silver or gold. I only know this bc my father is a sports agent and does signings all the time for football players. Often they sign in metallics and the paint pens always seem to work/show up best.
