Yeahhhh…
I brought both cats to the vet, and they were so riled up that I couldn’t get both of them back into the carrier… so I brought them out one at a time and let the larger cat roam in the car while I went back with the carrier to get the little one… she loves riding in the car outside the carrier like a dog (and she’s bigger than most of the dogs I know)…
Welllll I think she was pissed (literally) about the vet, because she peed in my car.
I am airing it out now and used that “Nature’s Miracle” stuff.. but ewww… I really hope that my car doesn’t smell like cat pee. 🙁

@7SEVENJ9: Oh noes. Did you leave windows open as well to help air it out?

@MissPumpkinPie – yes, the windows are open and I (thankfully) was only a mile from my house, so I was able to sop it up as quickly as possible with a microfiber super-absorbant towel (think SHAM WOW) before putting the Nature’s Miracle stuff down… I really hope that crap works!

@7SEVENJ9: Oh good. I hope it works out for you as well. I can’t imagine driving around in a car that smells like cat pee. Oh brother. I’d buy an air freshner too hahaha.

Vinegar and an enzyme cleaner.
I’m really sorry to hear about that. One of my three cats would likely do something like that.

Ugh, it’s terrible. I just had to run outside and close the windows because (naturally) it started to rain/hail outside. I sprayed some more Nature’s Miracle and am hoping for the best.

i had to clean cat pee off an air mattress and found a solution online that worked really well…it suppose to be for carpet
I used a vinager and water solution first (3:1 ratio) let it sit a little bit then dried it. The direction online said to blot it dry. After that I sprinkled a ton of baking soda on the area and let it sit for an hour.
next I mixed peroxide and dish soap together and with a bristle brush cleaned the area with this solution, over top of the baking soda. This part was messy, and it took forever to clean out the baking soda and soap, but the smell is totally gone.

Thanks, if the Nature’s Miracle doesn’t work, I’ll give these ideas a shot!

My cat peed in m y fiances car.. it reaked for weeks, no matter what he did. He used then used the vinegar combination, and baking soda.. and let it sit.. it finally doesn’t smell as bad.

Ewww. Cat pee is so foul! I’m so sorry!
I use a product from Sam’s Club called Odo-Ban that has worked miracles for me on dog pee and sour milk.
I hope you can find something that works!

Nature’s Miracle didn’t work really well for me. I had a cat that had a disease that weakened the bladder muscle. So she would piddle when she slept and sometimes when she walked. So I used lots and lots of Simple Solution. And it looks like they’ve some out with Extreme Simple Solution.
The key is to soak it so it’s sopping wet and let it dry.

If you can’t get it out, you might have to rent (or find a friend to borrow) a carpet cleaner with an attachment. Then you can shampoo the pee right out.
