So I get out of the shower and walking in our living room to find a pile of feathers and my cat playing under the tree. I love owls so my Future Mother-In-Law bought me a lot of owl ornaments last year for our Christmas tree. Well, apparently my cat Gizmo didn’t like one of them and decided to kill the poor thing. Here’s a couple pictures! I couldn’t help but laugh and grab my camera, she’s too cute (even though she got a good spray of water afterwards for punishment):
(Oh, and please excuse the bottom of the tree…she thinks it’s a scratching post)
She looks like, “Crap-I got caught!”
And I tried to take a picture of just the poor owl and she’s sitting in the background looking like a complete psycho kitty!
This will be her second Christmas and so far this year she hasn’t bothered the tree at all…until this morning. She destroyed it last year…always knocking it down, breaking limbs, scratching the bottom, pulling the lights off, climbing it, knocking off the ornaments. The tree is one of those expensive tall skinny ones you buy at craft stores, so I’m pretty upset she’s scratched the hell out of the bottom. We even had to tie the tree to the wall so she wouldn’t knock it over (we learned from last year) and we have the ornaments pretty well secured on the tree limbs, but the poor owl had no chance!
