Omg bees. Im sitting here tying a reply to a post, when my center stone in my boyfriends family ring (which is my engagement ring) pops out of my ring. It looks like a pronge broke, and I cant find it. It hit the floor and bounced and its gone. Ive been crawling around on the floor looking for it for the past 25 minutes. How do I tell him? I feel like its my fault somehow and Im practically in tears now.

You can’t find the stone or the prong? It’s going to be okay! You know it’s somewhere around there. Just take a few deep breaths and try looking again.

AHHH!!! Keep searching!! God thats not your fault at all if the bloody prong broke!!

I cant find the stone. Im in my kitchen and it could have went anywhere, under appliances, into the heating vent. Oh my. Thank you for the encouragement

Ok breathe! lol I have done that before!
I have an idea….turn out the lights and get a flashlight and if you can turn it dim….and see if something twinkle/sparkle back at you…that’s how I found the last diamond that I thought I lost..lol

My first response is, KEEP CRAWLING!! My second one is to sweep slowly and gently and see if it ends up in the pile. And go barefoot in that room.

breathe! you won’t find it when you’re in a panic. I want to come over and help you haha – you’re actually probably close to me! 😉

….so you just lost a 4.7 carat diamond and can’t find it?
Okay!! This worked for me, get a pair of panty hose put them double up on vacume wand and then use it! Anything that might be on ground will collect in the panty hose instead of going into the vaccume! Keep searching

I think it’s time to start moving any appliances you can. First block off any heating vents and the sink drain, just to be safe. If it went down one of those you are going to need help getting it back, if at all.
Try to stay calm, it’s not your fault the prong broke. Good luck!

I did the flashlight thingm and dont see it. im going to go try sweeping. Should I call Fiance and tell him yet? Or do I wait till he gets home? Should I wait a few days and see if it turns up, tell him I just put it away for a few days? I feel sick to my stomach.
@Mrs.WBS: I called my cousin, shes on her way to help me look.Off to sweep. Yall are loely people, youre all so nice.
I did. It bounced. I think it went under one of our cabinets.
Very very good idea. ll do this under the cabinets, stove, in the vent, ad under the dishwasher.

Don’t panic, it’s there I promise! There isn’t a portal to another dimension in the floor….very carefully move all of the furniture and items out of the way, lay all the way down on your stomach, put your cheek on the floor and slowly, like you have all the time in the world peruse the floor…keep telling yourself it’s there, all you have to do is find it.
