Try E-6000 glue.

I like the first version with only 2 candlesticks, but the taller ones look too tall and skinny to me.

You can also buy ordinary clear glass vases at the Dollar store to use for the taller arrangement, or simply elevate the shorter vases on a pile of books etc.

I think the taller one is scary!!! I’d be petrified that someone would tip it over. I think you might be better off using a tall vase. We bought 20 vases from Candlesforless.com and spent under $200 (including shipping). They came in perfect condition and we were very pleased.

These are so cool!  You’re heading in a great directions.

Here are a couple technical suggestions:

Hot glue is terrible on glass.  It will just pop off if you pull on it.  E-6000 might work and you could also try two part 5-minute epoxy like this:

I would also take a rough grit sandpaper and sand the spot where the glue is going a little so it can grab on better.

I think you’re right that the taller one is too tall/unstable.  Maybe try adding a wider base.  Like instead of a candle stick at the bottom, use another fish bowl to give it more stability.  The widest point should be at the bottom.

I would also add two more stems of hydrangea to the tall one to make the puff bigger.  It will be more proportional that way.  Like the tall have 7, medium have 5 and small have 3 or 5,3,1.  Whichever works with your budget.  Then it emphasizes the size difference a little more.

i agree with pp.  i like the shorter one but the tall one looks like it could potentially fall over.

Second one looks too precarious for me, but love the first one!
