I went dress shopping and found a dress I loved… fast forward a few weeks. I couldn’t stop thinking about it so I went to tryo on dresses again, ending the day with this one. Mom cried, BM’s cried, I cried. One of you lovely bees helped me ID it from the hanger (I didn’t know the style number).
At the salon it was onsale from 1200$ to 820$. I have a total budget of 1000$ and already spent 1/2 on my reception dress. So, looking for a deal I checked to see if it was on Ebay. It was! And in Canada (no duty)! So I contacted the seller, and it was a boutique liquidating it’s 2011 stock. I was the only bidder and able to snag this dress for 300$ plus $50 shipping! Holy Moly Batman!!!
I was worried it would be a sample with stains and such, but I just received it and OMG! It is perfect, no stains, no rips, new with tags. Perfect! It is a size 10, and needs to be altered around the hips/legs to fit better, but here are the photos I snagged before Fiance got home.
I am wearing gloves to not get my grimmy hands all over the satin 🙂
ETA – It came with a black flower belt that I hate, so I will be making one out of ivory satin and a beaded applique. About 2 inches thick I think.
Here is the model picture to show the pleats more.
