So I tried out some different centerpiece ideas and this one is my favorite (saw some other Bees who had the same idea). Best part is the whole thing will cost me about $3.50 per table…That’s WAY less then I originally thought so I’m pretty happy about it.
I got the vase at the dollar store. The Damask underneath is actually just a napkin folded out, I wasn’t planning to use it for the real thing but I think it looks nice so I might just use the napkin for it. Is it weird to have a napkin under my centerpiece?
Also, the candle in there now is just a basic tea light, we would be getting nicer floating candles for the wedding.
Let me know if you have any thoughts, suggestions, or opinions!

The centerpiece is nice but I would try to find fabric for underneath instead of a napkin. The napkin could get damaged so easily.

This is very cute. My only suggestion would be to use ribbon that is a bit wider (also, if you get wired ribbon the bow will keep its shape better). I like the napkin, it adds to the whole thing.

Very pretty and looks more expensive than just $3.50, great job!!!

It looks like you have a good start, I would either lower the flower some or put the bow on the bottom. Right now all the action is at the top of the centerpiece. A little visual interest in the bottom would be nice.

i agree with the bow at the bottom… its blocking the rose a bit. other than that great job!

Thanks for the suggestions! My wedding is still 8 months away so I have plenty of time to make it perfect.
I will try to find some wired ribbon, I would like it to be less flopsy.
I tried the ribbon at the bottom but I want a black ribbon and all the pebbles at the bottom are black so it looks weird. In person the bottom of the centerpiece looks nicer because of the pebbles, they just look like a black blob in the picture.
I would like to lower the flower. With this particular flower though if I made it any lower the leaves will look like they are growing out of the pebbles.
As far as the napkin is concerned, I either will find some damask cloth that I can make into squares (my original plan) or go with what I have. I think it mostly depends on how expensive the fabric is.

@Bride16: I was confused the first time I read your comment but I think I’ve got it now. @Carpie, correct me if I’m wrong, but that is a fabric napkin. I think it’ll be fine under there, but I might be biased because I’m putting a fabric napkin under my DIY centerpieces too. 😉

O no, it’s a paper napkin. I do have concerns about it holding up too and that people would wonder why I put a paper napkin but it’s a little more heavy duty then some napkins. Fiance didn’t even realize it was a paper napkin until I gave him the breakdown of everything (don’t know if that’s because it looks nice or because he has man observation skills =p)
