Looks ugly on the manican but that’s because it isn’t tight and filled out. If it fits YOUR body I’m pretty sure you’ll rock it. The key is FIT.

However, the bodice and the skirt are seperates and attached, whereas the original is rouched all the way and is one peice (appears to be anyways). That would be my only problem with it though.

I agree, when it comes in let us know it looks.  You should also ask if they can send you a big with a larger manican.

@cincychick35:  I agree that it depends on how it fits. It could look great on you. I noticed a couple things:

1. It does look like separate pieces, and the skirt doesn’t drape like the original, so it’s different but still looks good.

2. The neckline looks higher on your dress (maybe you requested that)

3. There aren’t as many appliques on the dress he made you (and looks like none at all on the back)

I think with a good crinoline it will still look great, but I want to see it on you!

Also, why are our 3 dresses from him all on different mannequins and backgrounds?! Random, but that bugs me.

@MrsNeutrino: Haha…yeah, everyone has to get introduced to vmec and her extreme bluntness! At least she tells everyone exactly what she’s thinking!

@cincychick35: Yeah, we’d all love to see it when you have it on you! I blame the small mannican for not giving a good shape to the dress. 🙂

@MrsNeutrino: She asked for opinions, and I ain’t gonna lie. “It’s beautiful and perfect” when it’s not. I’m sure she’ll rock it but when asked, I answer honestly.

I actaully did think but can’t tell because the size of the manican isn’t right but I thought the neckline was higher, so if someone else noticed it probably is! That’s good considering that’s what you want. When you get it, update and show a pic!

I actually like it and can tell that it will fit you perfectly, despite the mannequin size difference. I’m short so my mannequin made my dress look like a “little people size”! It will be fine you you, no worries ^_^

What I am wondering about is the detail on the bodice. I see in the original that there is some very nice beading along the front and the back of the dress. Also there is beautiful side detail on the hip area of the original dress and on this dress it seemingly falls downward. On these pictures you can’t really tell how their workmanship looks. Please show us once your dress arrives.

Have you already confirmed the dress? Is it possible for them to alter these small details before they send it or did you request these changes? Can you request close up images? I know every bride is different. These were the small differences I caught but they may be intentional since we don’t always want a 100% copy of a dress.

I saw one beautiful dress from Enjoydress.com before this one and it looked really beautiful. I hope yours will be just the same.

@cincychick35:

Aww! Thanks! I would gladly accept. I hope all is well when you receive your dress. I think from the pics it looks like they did a great job with the materials. If anything there may be only small things you’d like to change and thats no biggie.

I can’t wait to see pics of you in it. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Dresses on a mannequin never tell a story. I know I hated a lot of dresses on mannequin and changed my mind once they were on me.

I like the material he used, it does not look cheap.

I notice the neckline was high as well but as it was a request, it shows he paid attention to your wishes, which is good.

I am pretty sure that you can ask for close up picture as adw2c said.

I don’t know how you arranged payments with him, but I paid half upfront and the rest will be sent once I received the pictures and I am okay with it.

That details pretty much gave me the go ahead to place an order because, if he wants his money, you need to be happy.

They seem pretty understanding so far, maybe you should request seeing the dress on another mannequin or laying on a table?

I wish you the best of luck for the first fitting.
