No, due to the principle behind it. It is your wedding, not thier's. : (7 votes)

Yes, because it does look better, but you should not help out with the price. : (70 votes)

The ones they chose are a little more flattering on them, in my opinion.  Were you planning on paying for them? If they are paying for everything on their own then I’d let them choose the dress.  They are very similar in look and feel.

Honestly, if they’re paying for them, and, as you said, you’re okay with the other dress, I’d just let them have it. Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are $$ so they may as well have one they like, right? But yeah, you don’t have to help pay for it.

It was pretty crappy of them to complain about getting a choice and then not liking when you gave up and just picked one for them. But hey, look on the bright side, your girls managed to find a dress they all like and that right there is nothing short of a miracle for most bridesmaids! If they’re paying, I’d go ahead and let them go with their choice, since your original intention was to let them choose their own anyway.

i agree that the second choice is a little more flattering… have you considered going to a different store to find your Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses? Alfred Angelo has a really good and pretty selection of dresses!

I didn’t vote on the poll because, while I do think their pick is more flattering – if you were planning on helping pay for the dresses initally, you should still honor that initial commitment (not back out because of spite.)

Explain that since the cost is more you can only cover the amount of $ of the origial dress, and they will need to cover the rest.

Your wedding, you pick. I don’t even understand how grown people can think this kind of behavior is acceptable.

I think the ones they picked are more flattering on them, but if youre gonna pay for them.. then you are the bride and you should be able to pick…

They all look better in the second one.  i’d say let it go. They did pick a full length one, they are paying for it and the cumberbun thing on the first one makes them all look thick.

I did not vote on the poll since there was no option for my opinon. Honestly I’d let them pick the dress they feel most comfortable in. The dress they choose does look better on them. I don’t think its worth fighting over. They are the ones that have to wear the gown, I’d rather have them wear a gown they felt confident in. You stated in your first sentence that you were ok with them choosing, so just let them choose. My bridesmaids were given the option to each pick there own gown as long as it was black and long, because every body type is different and I want them to rock their look the day of the wedding. To my surprise when we went dress shopping they all ended up getting the same gown. One bride to another, its not worth being upset, let your girls get the dress they want, it really does look beautiful on them. You have way more important things to work on.

The ones they picked are much more flattering on them. Also the dresses are pretty similar, they clearly didn’t like how the dress you picked doesn’t flatter any of them so they went looking for one that was similar to what you liked but actually flattered all of them instead.

This is one of those times I would just let them get the dress they prefer.
