@Lala_land:  Things look great!  I’ve had friends that did their flowers from CostCo and they were awesome.  Can’t wait to see how yours end up!

Hi there! I worked at flowershops for years and did my own flowers and wanted to offer some tips! 

1. If you want the bulbs to open more (and they look really fresh so if you do this they’ll be beautiful on Saturday), cut the stems under running water, and put them in warm water or in a warm room. 

2. Take off the guard petals (the ones on the outside of the rose). It’ll make them look prettier.

3. Start your centerpieces by crossing stems of the leatherfern. This will help the roses stand up. Once you’ve added roses (in odd numbers) then you can add the baby’s breath as accents.

4. When you make the bouquet, don’t be afraid to cross the stems. You can google this to see what I mean. This will help make a rounded shape and is one of the easiest ways to spot the difference between a DIY bouquet and a professional one.
