- Wedding: September 2014 - Stevens Estate
Okay, So I wont have any pro pics for at least a couple of weeks, but I figured I would post some of the pics my mom’s friend took. Now if any of you read my previous post, you know that we had some crazy weather during our wedding. For those who didn’t see my previous post, during our ceremony we had a severe thunder and lighting storm with a tornado warning. We actually had a microburst, which is like a mini tornado, that struck right as we were having the ceremony. It completely destroyed our outdoor reception area and knocked out all the power. Luckily, our vendors were amazing and put everything back together and got a generator there so we could have a wedding. And we all had a blast! Here are some pics from that crazy, awesome day:
Here is right before the storm hit. The thunder and lighting was just starting as I was walking down the isle:
Start of the ceremony, round 1..lol
Then the storm started..and we were all rushed under the tent to try and finish the ceremony..so this is round 2 of my ceremony lol
But the storm got really bad, really fast…and we wern’t even safe under the tent now. This is when we were all rushed inside and the power got knocked out. Mind you…we still havn’t finished the ceremony. So this is after we were all rushed inside to escape the thunder, lighting, and wind. Lots of people were soaked, including my bridemaids lol..
And round 3 of my ceremony lol:
And this is my favorite pic because..we did it! We were married! Even though it was chaotic..I was so happy! I love the reverend’s face in this picture..its like he’s thinking “Wow, that was the craziest ceremony I’ve ever done”
And here are some of our reception pics:
The reception tent (After it was cleaned up lol):
Our First Dance:
Cutting the cake, which got kinda messed up from the storm. But hey at least it didn’t fall over, which I thought was a miracle:
Our guest having a good time:
And our last dance..I was a hot mess by then lol..
We had a great wedding. The crazy weather just made it that more exciting. When I get the pro pics back, I’ll post those too.
