So, I personally believe in recommending sellers who have done right by you. So here is my recommendation for etsy seller Poppy Lime Design – http://www.etsy.com/shop/poppylimedesign
Firstly, I have had my eye on her designs for quite some time, because she does absolutely beautiful & imaginitive work with fabric flowers, feathers, buttons, & lace. Seriously, if nothing else, check her work out because it is all so neat and adorable.
I had my eye specifically on a hair flower cluster that’s dimensions were too large for the hair style I am going for, so I procrastinated on writing her about a custom listing as I wasn’t sure she would be able to do something in small enough dimensions to fit my needs (her traditional flower clusters measure about 3-4in & I needed something in the 2in range). Well, I was browsing today for a hair flower & I just kept coming back to Poppy Lime since nothing else really captured the look I wanted. I wrote her & asked her if she would be willing/able to create a flower or preferably flower cluster that would be small enough for me. I sent my first message at about 3:30pm. She responded by 4pm & was more than happy to accomodate my requets (also by the date I said I needed it by, in two weeks). This is the large flower cluster that originally made me swoon:
We exchanged 24 messages over a 5hr span, & she sent me 7 pictures of mock-ups & inspiration. I never waited more than 20 minutes for a response (if that). I have never had such a prompt & “hands on” custom order experience on etsy, & I was blown away by her customer service & willingness to tweak even the smallest things in order to appease my haywire nit-pickiness.
After tweaking things umpteen times, I was sent a picture of the most perfect hair flower cluster I could imagine, with every element I wanted (especially the leaves; those are swoonworthy!). You can’t see it very well in this picture, but one flower has a rhinestone center, & the other has a pearl center. The flowers are made from the same fabric as the flowers posted above, so they have a beautiful muted gold shimmer about them; the bottom picture is a little more bright though, so it doesn’t come through as well.
Her pricing is also incredibly reasonable. Her cost was $23 for the custom flower cluster w/ shipping included (I felt this was beyond reasonable, so I asked her to add gratuity to my listing since I have never had such an outstanding customer service experience & also frankly because I am a difficult client at times & ask vendors to go above & beyond for me. She was extremely grateful).
Ultimately I wrote this post to thank Priscilla at Poppy Lime Designs, & to hopefully help somebody else find a truly fantastic etsy seller to work with in the future. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, “I am certainly one of the most exacting & meticulous customers out there, but there is nobody that will appreciate the finished product more than me” 🙂
