Hello, Bees! This is my first post, but I am not new to the site. Because so many of you have helped me by posting pictures of your beautiful moissanite rings, I thought I would pay it forward. My fiance and I custom designed this ring together at Tower of Jewels in Las Vegas, Nevada, and because I know some of you will want to know, I am posting all of the relevant details.
Metal type: Platinum
Band size: 6 1/2
Stones: Amora moissanites (Not the Amora gem, for those who know the difference)
GIA graded as H color
Center stone: Slightly over 1.0 carat equivalent
Side stones: Approximately 0.5 carat equivalents
Cost of setting with wedding shadow band (not pictured): $1750
Cost of Amora moissanite stones: Approximately $800
If you have any questions, just ask!!
Because many people on here are considering moissanite, I purposely took some pictures in warm lighting so that you can see the warmth of the light it can reflect. In lighting that is not warm, I cannot detect any color in the stones themselves. The pictures simply cannot capture the beauty of the stones, but I did the best I could!
My fiance’s engagement ring (we’re feminists, so we really liked the idea of me getting him a ring, too) is made of oak. It suits him very well, especially because he is the outdoorsy type.

That is absolutely beautiful, and FI’s ring is awesome! My FI’s wedding band is wood set in titanium, so similar. We’re suckers for wood rings. Anyway, thanks for posting all the details of your moissy. I know bees are always asking about them, detail pics, etc so this is super helpful.

Oak ring! What an idea! I never heard of it before, but it’s intriguing! Now you’ve got me off on a totally different tangent for searching for his ring.. lol Pretty Moissy and what a unique pair your rings make!

@DrRx: Wow your ring is stunning! By far the most beautiful 3-stone I’ve ever seen, I love the design. Any chance you could post a photo with the wedding band?

@missmonsterjeep: Thank you! He does love his ring. It’s very light but durable. The only downside is that you’re not supposed to get it wet other than the occasional handwashing.
@valintine: Thank you so much! My fiance is moving back soon (LDR for over 3 years, moving back in 2 weeks!), and he has the wedding band. I will be sure to post a picture with the band soon! 🙂
