I truly feel your loss. I am just so glad he was able to see you get married and was able to celebrate that special day with you.
It is also such a miraculous thing how our loved ones leave us sometimes…like how you knew your Father did not want to go on Christmas knowing it was your favorite day. My Dad was very sick too and was on life support. My Mother was the only one against taking him off even though we all knew in our hearts it was time for him to rest (he had suffered so much and the machines were the only thing keeping him alive) She kept saying that by doing this, it was the same as if she was accepting & allowing him to die. Well, when we all (9 siblings) convinced her to let him go, we scheduled to have him removed from life support the following day. Well he died on his own that morning before we all arrived at the hospital. I truly feel that my Dad left us that morning so that my Mom wouldn’t feel like she in some way had a hand in his death. He gave her peace which I will forever be grateful to him for.
We will see them again one day…
