I’m so, so, sorry for your loss. My daddy died when I was 19 and though I fully understand why, medically, my heart still doesn’t know why. I’m not going to give you a bunch of nonsense about time healing all wounds, because 5 years later (holy crap) it still sucks. Relish in your memories and give your mom lots of hugs and kisses.

I am so very sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to you. It may take a while for it to sink in and you feel less numb but remember to feel it, feel all the pain, don’t block it out because it will sneak up on you later. I’ll say prayers for your family and just know that your father has looked upon the face of our Lord and Saviour! God bless you and your family.

@MariContrary:  I am very very sorry for your loss. I know the feeling. I lost my dad when I was 13.

The pain doesn’t go away, you just learn to live with it. I am sorry this happened to you

I’m so very sorry for your loss. It’s so hard to watch someone you love get sick and then go downhill quickly. My grandfather passed a little over a month ago now and it was very much that he was doing fairly well physically and then within a couple of weeks just went right downhill. I still have moments of remembering that he has passed. Please please take care of yourself during this time. Let out all the emotions you are feeling, it’s completely okay and necessary. Take the time to grieve and to talk to someone, a friend, your partner, a counsellor. Whatever helps, do it. Please know that my thoughts are with you and if you need anything, feel free to PM me for support. You will get through this. Big Hugs!

I am so very sorry for your loss. No matter how old we are, or how old our parents are, no one is ever ready for that type of loss. I’m sure you and your who family are devastated.

May the Lord comfort you in the midst of your pain.

HUGS!

@MariContrary:  First off, I’m very sorry for your loss. It’s a struggle, in those first days afterwards, to cope with the reeling feeling, like you’re constantly tipping head over toes

My SO’s Granpa passed away this weekend; we’re feeling the shock of the strong old one passing so I can relate on that. He was the invincible one, the strong one, the one who survived everything. It’s hard to accept that someone like that is really gone.

Hang in there my friend, time does heal
