Whoa what? Is this even possible…? I’d bring it to a local jeweler and ask.

That is very odd.

A diamond should NOT turn colours like that, especially not with jewelery cleaner.

Is it definitely a diamond? Is your stone clarity enhanced?

Is it a diamond or a simulant?

sylwia212:  Windex is perfectly safe on diamonds. Just avoid on white gold, but you can use it on the stone part. That, or Dawn and warm water. It is definitely not as harsh as the jewelery cleaner.

That’s odd. Take it to a jeweler and ask them. Maybe get it professionally cleaned?

sylwia212:  That is why I asked if it is clarity enhanced. If clarity enhanced, there may be drill holes, etc in your stone and/or the clarity enhancement can fall out, etc, leaving spaces.

sylwia212:  Take it to a reputable jeweler.  No diamond should turn any color.   And Windex is safe on diamonds.

I use one part amonia. One part dawn dish soap, three  water, soft tooth brush and it works everyone and not damaged my rings.

At first I read this and was like “Wow, thats a super awesome problem to have!”

But yeah, thats weird. Your diamond shouldn’t turn colors.
