Hello ladies (this is my first post EVER) and I’m hoping to get your advice and feedback. I have a 2ct Moissanite stone set in a platinum setting which I love. I got it about 10 years ago and while I loved the stone I was always able to see the green tint that it gives off in the sunlight. I was happy with it but as the years passed i found myself noticing it more and more. Last summer I noticed a chip on the bottom near the cutlet – it almost looks like a slice of the stone was taken off. I don’t know how it happened since I work in an office and don’t feel like I banged it or hit it hard enough to damage it. Irregardless I have been doing a lot of research and am at a point on deciding to get another diamond simulant and have been leaning towards replacing it with an Asha. However the more I research the more I can’t seem to decide on which simulant is closer “looks wise” to a diamont OR which company is best to go with.. They all seem to have their pros and cons. I would really like to get some feedback from any of you who have diamont simulants other than moissanites since I am sure I don’t want to get another Moissanite. I contacted Schubach and co n they basically told me that I could get a credit for 1 ct towards another stone but I don’t want to invest more money into a stone that I am no longer happy with. So here are my questions:
Do you have a simulated diamond and how long have you had it? Do you have pictures you can share? Can anyone tell it’s not a mined diamond? N(o I don’t plan to tell anyone that it’s not a diamond.)
Did it discolor?
How long have you had it?
Which company did you go with? (there seems to be so many company’s with beautiful stones)
How big is your stone? (Im concerned that a 2 ct show will not “look like” a diamond.)
I have been reading this posts and amlooking forward to your comments and advice
