Only I’m not using them as the wedding cake topper.. I want to put them on my yet to be created DIY card box (time escaped me so I’m scrambling).
I found several personalized figures on etsy but could not justify the cost. So I am trying my own…
The first are wooden and not yet finished but wanted opinions on what I have so far. I am making smaller as well.. our 2 cats and dog:)
The second is sculpey. This is NOT what I’ll be using. This was my practice… I am thinking of doing one more casual.. sitting back to back or something… These are a pain but I didn’t do awful for a couple hours’ work I don’t think. The issue is FH has a goatee and I’m plus sized and NOT wearing a formal wedding dress so no pre-made ones look anything like us. And like I said $100 ish for this is out of my small budget…
Anybody else making anything like this? Care to share?

They actually look pretty good, much better than anything I could make! I paid $120 for our cake topper and loved it, but I paid for it out of pocket and not wedding money

I definitely like the first ones better than the sculpted ones. The bride is coming along nicely on the first one but the groom could use some work. Maybe add a little mini veil on the bride.

I like the wooden ones MUCH better than the others. Something about them looksmore polished and artsy.

I love the wooden ones, they are adorable!

The wooden ones are so cute! And after your wedding they’d be a cute little knick knack to put on your dresser or something. 🙂

The sculpey ones aren’t what I’d be using. Those I just made to get a feel of how to use it.. but it was a PITA LOL! So I prob will go with the wooden. THe wooden are nowhere near done.. though the faces probably are… it’s rough because I get on a roll but have to let each layer dry before continuing LOL!
I’ll prob make the bride look like her hair is up somehow with a puff of brown or something?
Thank you all for your feedback!!!

I like the second ones, from the details it looks like it’s more like you and your Fiance. Good job! Can’t wait to see your final product!

Ok. I’m just about done with the “us” part. The eyes are driving me insane but i had to step away. I’ll redo them later. I think he looks like a zombi:( I just have to do the base and our pets….
OR I might scrap them as practice and redo them altogether…
