I’m putting the risk out there to ask you what you all think of my DIY Bridesmaids cotton candy bouquets!
I just did one so far, but there will be three more, one pink, one yellow, and one green, to match their dresses! I wanted something a little more fun and casual than flowers. I will have flowers myself, though, I think.
Opinions welcome! btw, the stick part isn’t done yet. don’t know what I’m going to do with the handles yet….

It doesn’t look like cotton candy to me.. but maybe a blue fuzzy shrub. I don’t know..
Maybe it needs to be shaped more like cotton candy?
Here’s another cotton candy bouquet :

It reminds me of the trees from The Lorax

@Hyperventilate: bahahaha! It kind of does… although – I think that’s a cute picture! But, not sure what I’m looking for. argh! I need to hire a DIYer. I’m not crafty. lol.

The top looks good, but I dont really like the bottom as-is..
I think it would be neater if you made one of those little paper cones with a ribbon around it, barbershop pole style. It would reinforce the idea of it being cotton candy, while adding just a bit of glam.

@EffieTrinket: awesome! i haven’t figured out what to do with the bottom yet, and that is a great suggestion!

is it real cotton candy? if it is, would you be worried about them eating it on the day of? if it’s cotton balls, I might suggest you take sheets of cotton and dye those, and do a bit of a wrapping around the outside, to give it more of a cotton candyish texture to it?

@Miss Panda: haha! it’s definitely fake, they probably would eat it on the day if it was real, but it would probably also get sticky and melt in the heat too. So making it look more “stringy” on the outside will make it more realistic maybe?
