i’ve made some progress and finished making all the “flowers” in my bouquet and though i’d show you some pix 🙂 after looking at it a bit, i think i’ll need about 20 more to fill it out and make the edges more round but i’m happy with what i have so far. i went with clear, aurora borealis, and smoke colored crystals. Our wedding theme is old hollywood glam and our colors are black, silver, and dark red. I’ll also remove the gold brooch as i find it distracting in pictures.
question for those more experienced bouquet makers. now that i have my “flowers” assembled how do i go about arranging them into the actual bouquet. i have arranged the stems in a way that i find visually pleasing, but i know i cant just pick them up put of the vase and wrap a ribbon around them. any tips would be great 🙂 i’ll include a picture of the shape i’m going for for refrence
let me know that you think! and pleade excuse the messy side table

It is beautiful, is the base as large as it appears in the photos? Will it be hard to carry?

currently my stems are in a vase. i would like to have the thick stem handle, though. i’ve seen the thinner ones and i dont find them as visually pleasing as the thicker one. in the picure, the bride put her stems into a foam noodle (think pool toy) to get the thicker look.

that is pretty awesome! i can’t offer any advice on the stem, just wanted to say you did an amazing job!

I love this! I don’t know much about brooch bouquet making but could you just wrap rubber bands around the “stems” to hold them together and then since you like a bigger handle wrap some foam or batting and then a ribbon around that? I don’t know, it just seemed like a good idea in my head.

Those are GORGEOUS! After deciding to ditch traditional flowers myself, I love seeing unique bouquets. Beautiful job!
