I’m on a mission to create DIY Centerpieces for my wedding! Your welcome to follow me on this journey as I create them, I’ll post my pics and steps as I go! I’m just a regular gal, no artistic background and I’m actually pretty clueless in what I’m doing. I figure, why not though? Saves money and and add’s your own PERSONAL touch!
Comments & Suggestions welcome! I could use any tips or advice you have as well!
I found this sketch on a *Wedding Craft Blog*. After viewing this centerpiece idea, I knew I wanted something just like this design with a couple of my own personal twists & touches.
This is what THEY ended up with. Their DIY Centerpiece (First Try)
I want to create something with the same type of design idea using different colors (Purple & Brown), and adding a few more tissue flowers, vases, candles and a couple other DIY creations.
So here I go…..

First step is to sketch my OWN idea & design for my DIY Centerpiece…
(Try not to laugh, haha I do not draw at all!)
Here is my sketch design!
The fluffy things are Pom Poms (Tissue Flowers) and the round balls with lines are Twig Balls.
My props will be:
Purple Tissue Flowers (Poms)
3 Vases (Tall, Medium, Short)
Tall Pillar Candle
Twig Balls & Decor Balls
Cork Table Number Holder (Made out of wine corks)
Wedding Label Sticker on Vase

So far I have purchased the Vases! I got a GREAT STEAL girls!
13 20ich Vases, 13 16inch Vases & 13 11inch Vases. 39 Beautiful, good quality sqaure vases for only $200! I got them from someone on Craigslist in South Jersey!
Search area’s and states near you on craigslist for used wedding vases! You can find amazing deals. Online the 20inch vases were $20 or over EACH, buying used vases saved me big time.
