- Wedding: April 2013
I stole this idea completely from another bee. The photos aren’t the greatest (taken with an iPhone in the dark…), but these look AWESOME in person. I can’t wait to see them at the wedding. We’re doing dramatic draping around the venue with purple & blue uplights, so this compliments it really well. Lighting is my key decor feature. The table linens will be a dark purple similar to the fabric scraps I laid out under the mirror.
Here’s the breakdown – 20 tables for $540, and had some extras of some supplies. Hopefully I can resell some of the mirrors, vases, gems, etc. All prices include shipping. I was able to do ALL my flowers including head table, bridal party, moms, etc for $800 by using silks and these centerpieces. You cannot tell they are silks in the water.
60 Libbey cylinder vases – Bought from GlassSupplyDepot in 7.5, 9, and 10.5 inch heights – $7.36 per table.
Silk Violet Hyacinth – Bought from eFavormart, 3 bunches of 25. $3.24 per table.
LED Lights in the bottom – Bought from a mix of eFavormart and Amazon. The ones on Amazon were cheaper and nicer, but weren’t available when I made my first order. Approximately $4.50 per table.
Mirror – Bought from Save On Crafts, $4.50 per table
Floating Candles – Bought from Save On Crafts – $5 per table
Crystal Gems – Bought from Save On Crafts and Hobby Lobby – About $1.50 per table (cheaper at Hobby Lobby, these suckers are expensive to ship. Just use coupons at HL)
Split Shot Sinker Fishing Weights – Bought from Ebay. Clamped these onto the stems of the silk flowers to weigh the flowers down. Less than 50 cents per table. I used size 4 and it was just right.
Photos suck, but trust me – they look awesome in person. Thanks to seherler – you can see her pro pics from hers here!!
