My vision is finally coming together and I’m really happy with the way it is turning out! My question is, does it look a little bare? Does it need something else? I thought about putting some moss on the empty spots of the wood platform or maybe 2-3 votives or tealights. What do you think bees? And the empty cylinder will be filled 2/3 with water with a beautiful pearl floating candle.
We’ve still got a few more flowers to put together as you can see from the background, but I think we’re down to 7 at this point! Give it to me straight…what do you girls think? Any suggestions?

Love the concept! I think the moss will look great on the wood base. I also think it looks a little bare…maybe add some sparkle? Possibly a small brooch or rhinestone button at the knot of the ribbon around the cylindar. You can also add rhinestone buttons to wire and have them in the bouquet to add more sparkle and to act as a filler. I would also consider some blue ostrich feathers for more texture. Just my opinion 🙂 I did run across a sale that’s running today that I posted about earlier for buttons and brooches, here’s the link: https://www.etsy.com/shop/SupplyWorld?section_id=10794654

@SweetMelissa429: You’ve done a fantastic job with them! I love the idea of some moss around the base. 🙂

Where did you get your wood slabs?

I love them!! I do think it could you a little something, the moss might be it!

I love it but i would add a few votive around the base.

They look great! Definitely need a little something on the bare spots on the wood. Maybe try the moss and post a picture. I think the votives would look nice too

If you add a couple votives, I think it will be perfect! Great job!

I’d have to see the moss on it. I really like the wood slab and it would be a shame to cover it up.

The moss and votives will complete the look and maybe a pic of you and your hubby at different times in your engagement

Love the flowers! All the attention seems focussed on the vase on the left, though.
I would take the peacock feather out of the vase with the flowers and submerge it in the water that will have the floating candle.
Some clumps of moss on the wood slab- don’t cover it all- and mabe use a wood burning pen to carve your initials, a heart, or the wedding date on the short piece of wood under the flower vase would complete it for me.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I’m definitely thinking a little moss (not too much bc I don’t wanna cover up the wood!) and some candles would help tie it together and I LOVE the suggestion of carving/burning our initials on the wood! My mom actually suggested that this morning also.
@JenGirl: Here’s the tutorial I used for the rosettes 🙂 http://jonesdesigncompany.com/flowers/rolled-paper-flowers-tutorial/
@brittanybed: My dad has a friend who had the equipment to cut down some trees on his land and saw the wood slabs for me
