- Wedding: October 2012
Why am I doing these? I have so many other things to be doing with 2 weeks left, but I sat down and handmade these baskets anyways. Figured I’d share!!
I made the book that’s going around the internet. I found it sort of annoying to print, but after a few tries got everything in the right order, all right side up.
I tied it with twine (Rustic themed wedding, besides, staples seemed dangerous for some reason).
I hand maid little kraft paper envelopes for the crayons, then used my lace border punch to make the top pretty. I don’t know why I didn’t buy these, I just sat down last night and made them. Took forever, because the kraft paper is from a roll and kept rolling up, etc.
I got the buckets at Target because I don’t have time to wait for them to ship, every free day is precious. Unfortunately they only had halloween themed ones. So…
I took 2 hours cutting, and hot gluing burlap and ribbon over the ghosts.
The books are too big, and they aren’t exactly “mason jars” but they are sorta rustic, right?
Inside: suckers, candy jewelry, tootsie rolls, bubbles that say ‘just married,’ the book, crayons and stickers. I think it should keep the kiddos semi occupied, right?
What do you think?
ETA: these were 1.50 each to make.
