Hi Bee’s i want to share with you my DIY coffee filter flowers i made last night and today! I love these colors but they are too light for my fall wedding, still SO PRETTY!!!! Will use them for my bridal shower, cant wait to make more! 🙂

@Elky: Thats what i would like to try to figure out. The purple i used was literally almost a black purple and i for sure thought it would be dark but it turned out like the purple in the picture. I tried using food coloring and that turns out light as well. I thought maybe trying brown coffee filters, that way they already have a darker base. Or i thought about trying it with real paint. Might be more powerful?
I do really love the colors, they just arent my wedding theme unfortunatley. If i had a spring wedding it would work perfect!

@soontobehisbride: I found this video and her flowers are very dark, I think she does use some kind of watered down paint and then a more concentrated version of the same thing, i just can’t tell the supplies she used:

Note: I used two methods for dyeing the coffee filters: microwave method and dye-painting method. The microwave method results in deep, rich colors and the dye-
painting method results in lighter colors.
