so for the past three days ive been working on turning this:
i decided to make it smaller than i had originally planned but overall i am pretty impressed with myself being my first time doing any kind of beading. I plan on sewing it on to a metal headband and wearing it on the side.
the pictures really do not do it justice. I had seen some similar ones on etsy but didnt want to pay the $100-$200 price tag so i gave it a shot. all of this cost me $19.
What do you guys think?

cute!! did you sew or glue the bling on?

It was really easy ladies!! if you know basic sewing it is a piece of cake. I used a nylon type thread and a tube of glass beads. Then when i was finished sewing I glued on the swarovski crystals. I will probably try to attach it to the headband tonight i will post pics when i am finished.
i did sewing on the tiny glass beads and then hot glued the swarovski crystals.

KUDOS. Great job! While I’m sure the whole thing is not insanely difficult I think it requires A LOT of patience. Do I have patience? Patience to glue yes, sew little beads no. lol. I’m going to try and recreate something similar to the pic below. Did you get your swarovski crystals on line?

That is SO cool, I was thinking of doing something like that for my head too, but I really didnt want to spend any more time on DIY for my wedding. Congrats, you should be so proud of yourself for that WAY awesome piece

WOW! Some DIY beading is on my list too; mostly for a sash. I have never done this before, but I think I am crafty and patient. I checked out a few sites online and will be ordering just a few beads to see how they look before purchasing a lot. Not sure how many beads typically cost but the ones I was looking at were 10 cents. They have a huge variety!
